This notice explains how GAYAR Research Group handles information submitted through this website and the limited technical information processed to operate it.

Information you provide
The inquiry form may collect your name, email address, affiliation or organization, inquiry type, and the message you choose to send. Please do not submit sensitive personal, medical, confidential, or otherwise unnecessary information through the form.
How the information is used
Submitted information is used to respond to inquiries, assess potential research collaboration or participation, manage relevant correspondence, and maintain the security and operation of the website. It is not collected for advertising purposes.
Retention and access
Inquiry submissions in the website database are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are eligible for scheduled deletion. Continued correspondence, an active collaboration, or applicable administrative requirements may justify separate retention of related records. For spam protection, the site generates keyed hash fingerprints derived from the submitting IP address and email address for rate limiting. These fingerprints are eligible for deletion after 24 hours of inactivity and are removed by daily maintenance; the actual time can be later if maintenance is delayed or fails. Email notifications, backups and subsequent email correspondence may retain copies separately under their own retention and access controls. Access is limited to authorized site administrators and people who need the information to respond to the inquiry.
Website services
The website is hosted on Vercel and uses Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights for operational and performance information. Inquiry records are stored in the website database infrastructure. When email notifications are enabled, the site may use Resend to deliver an administrative notification about a new inquiry. The Contact page embeds Google Maps, and links to services such as Instagram open those external services under their own privacy practices.
Security
Reasonable technical controls are used to protect the website and its administrative areas. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so the inquiry form should not be used to transmit sensitive or confidential material.

You may contact GAYAR to ask about information you submitted through the website or to request correction or deletion where applicable. Requests can be sent to contact@gayarlab.org.
