About
GAYAR is a research group at Eastern Mediterranean University working across generative AI, systems biology, and medical image and signal processing. We develop computational methods for biological and biomedical research and collaborate with contributors inside and outside EMU.
Vision
To create an inclusive and innovative research environment where students can transform biological data into scientific discoveries through artificial intelligence, computational biology, open science, and collaborative learning, while contributing meaningful solutions to global health challenges.
Mission
To conduct interdisciplinary research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and computational biology, provide practical research training for students, promote open and reproducible science, and develop computational tools that advance biomedical discovery.
Long-term goal
Creating a sustainable hub where artificial intelligence, biology, and education converge for scientific research.
